MULARI PERFORMANCE

Performance is human. So is change

"After 13 years of coaching leaders, including at Hintsa Performance, I founded Mulari Performance to build the programme I always believed in: one that combines hard data and human coaching. The result is change you can measure, and a life that feels worth the effort".

From Olympic gold to the boardrooms

Meet Tarja Mulari

Olympic Gold Medalist. 24 World Cup wins. Three world records. Tarja spent a decade at the highest levels of competitive sport before learning what pressure, recovery, and consistent performance actually take — and bringing those principles into boardrooms across Europe and the US.

Today she coaches executives and leaders who refuse to choose between performance and wellbeing. Based in Zug. Working globally.

Mulari Performance

the beginning

As a speed skier, I won Olympic gold and set a world record in a sport where the margins are measured in hundredths of a second, and where one lapse in focus can cost everything. It taught me what elite performance really demands: a body that's prepared, a mind that stays calm under pressure, and the discipline to recover as seriously as you train.

24 World Cup victories. One gold medal

For over a decade, Tarja competed at the highest level of professional speed skiing - winning 24 World Cup victories, three overall titles, three women's world records, and an Olympic gold medal at Albertville in 1992. She understood, from the inside, what elite performance truly demands: the preparation, the sacrifice, the mental architecture required to deliver under pressure when it matters most. And equally, what it costs when that architecture is missing.

What she did next

When her athletic career ended, Tarja didn't step back, she went deeper. She trained as a physiotherapist, studying the body with clinical precision. She pursued a degree in PR and communications, learning how performance is perceived and communicated. She moved into organizational culture and leadership, working at the intersection of human potential and business results. For years she led global coaching teams, mentored professionals through major transitions, and worked with C-suite leaders and Fortune 500 companies navigating real pressure at pivotal moments.

Through all of it, she was also a mother of three - raising children while building a career across continents, learning firsthand how to hold ambition and presence in the same hands without losing either.

TODAY

"For the past 13 years, I've coached leaders across many industries, from managers to top CEOs, including at Hintsa Performance. Today, I also lead wellbeing and performance services at YOU. by Eerikkilä. I design programmes, facilitate leadership teams, and speak to audiences about what it takes to perform sustainably.

Over those years, I've seen the same pattern again and again. Most people know exactly what they should be doing. What they can't do alone is change the habits that hold them back. That gap between knowing and doing is where I work".

WHY I DO THIS

I once coached a man at the end of a long international career in finance. For decades, he had slept four and a half hours a night. It had cost him his health, his marriage, and any real joy in life.

Together, we worked on one thing: sleep.

Slowly, he reached seven hours. A few months later, he said something I will never forget:

"I wish someone had talked to me about this when my career began."

That sentence is why Mulari Performance exists.
